π» Wendy Knows Weird: Savannah's Time Traveler? The Mystery of the Burger King Doe π»
Just about 30 minutes south of Savannah, in Richmond Hill, one of Georgia's strangest real-life mysteries unfolded.
In 2004, a man was found behind a Burger King with no wallet, no ID... and no memory of who he was. He became known as Benjamin Kyle, the only known American who was legally "missing"... from his own identity.
For more than a decade, no one knew his real name. No family came forward. No missing person report matched. It was like he had simply... appeared.
Eventually, DNA genealogy revealed his true identity, but that didn't stop the theories.
One of the weirdest? That Benjamin Kyle wasn't suffering from amnesia at all... but was actually a time traveler who somehow ended up in coastal Georgia.
Now, is there any proof of that? Absolutely not. It's just an urban legend. But let's be honest... if someone suddenly showed up with no past, no memories, and no one searching for them, our weird little brains would probably come up with some pretty wild theories too.
It's one more reminder that some of the strangest stories aren't found in haunted houses or old cemeteries... sometimes they're hiding behind a Burger King just down the road from Savannah.
So... what's your theory? π€
π€ Stay weird, my friends.
