Day 5! Our largest clinic yet serving 50+ women and children. The Lord provided a sunny dry day for us to hold clinic . We provided Bibles to all who attended and our clinic director John Wesly presented a nutrition lesson on Folic Acid and its importance for pregnant mommas and nursing mommas. Many were provided supplements and signed up for our Medika mamba clinic.
In addition to prayer and nutrition lesson, we had our amazing medical team with Jennie Comparetto ThaouFred Phenelus and our translator were superb!! They truly rocked! Carrie Hurst Rouse established needs of the families also became the resident baby rocker ! Our Haitian team will continue establishing roots in our community here in Nord!

Day 4 recap ! The day started with devotion songs with Carrie Hurst Rouse and TC@GS . Breakfast was boiled bananas with eggs 🥚! We prepared most of the morning for our mini clinic. Several of the children in our mini clinic are also part of our nutrition clinic as well. They are getting so much healthier 🩷 with the Medika mamba. Our nurse Jennie Comparetto saw children today for medical check in. We prayed over each family and presented a fun child’s message of the gospel.

Day 3! Bright and early ☀️ We are working with our staff to learn bracelet making in the hopes of teaching a skill for revenue. We had a fun start to beading and engraving. Much to learn 🩷Our friends from Churchquake International Carrie Hurst Rouse Jennie Comparetto arrived safely. Getting to the airport was a whole day affair…for a 34 km round trip drive took 7 hours ! Traffic jams are a common everyday experience in Cap. This was quite the journey for all both by moto, taxi, and car but we finally ended the evening with fellowship and Soup Joumou!

Day 2! Today was an opportunity for our team to receive encouragement from our friends at Hearts United With Haiti 🇭🇹 We had a great morning zoom call. Then we spent much of the afternoon creating and organizing our Suns Up Haiti - Cherith House Nutrition Clinic Curriculum 🙏Then we spent time going through our inventory and reviewing supplies. We so dearly appreciate our donors who generously supplied- infant ready to eat formulas, infant fortified cereals , and our Creole Bibles. We are excited to share more from our upcoming clinics!

Yesterday was a long day …We made it through Customs and drove to the Cherith house . For those who are following our Suns Up Haiti mission, we had to move into a new home the beginning of this year. It’s been a blessing !! Now our house places our team closer to the children and families that are part of our RUSF program.

Ready to shop for a cause? Our local non profit counseling center is hosting a yard sale fundraiser to help make counseling affordable and accessible to all. Come join us Sat May 31st at Wiley’s Home Center in Rincon. Yard Sale starts at 8:00am. We have furniture, baby strollers, toys, clothing, yard equipment, kitchen items, & house decorations.
