NOC Nurse Camp set for June 18
Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa is hosting the 2nd Annual Nurse Camp June 18 at the Renfro Center.
Grades 3-5 will attend from 9 a.m. – noon while Grades 6-8 will attend from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
The cost is $25 which includes a t-shirt, goodie bag, snacks, and one-on-one instruction from registered nurses.
Campers attending will learn a variety of skills from current NOC nursing students. Campers will learn how to use crutches, perform rescue measures such as rescue breathing and CPR, how to stop a bleed, choking prevention and much more. Special appearance by the AirEvac flight team planned between sessions.
The camp this year is sponsored by the NOC Division of Nursing, Integris Health Ponca City, AirEvac, Autry Tech, Respiratory Department, Peak Oilfield, Whiterock Resources, LLC, BAMA Foods, and James & Jennifer Brinkley.
