Congratulations to our Whimsy intern, Electra, on being awarded the “Nathan M. & Bette G. Lee Memorial Scholarship”! This scholarship, awarded by the Kay County Council for the Opportunity Center, Inc., is for Kay County graduating seniors, pursuing a career in Special Education or related field. We are so proud of you, Electra, and we know your work as an ABA therapist will change lives! 🩵

Though we are so sad to have lost him, we feel very fortunate to have known this incredible man.

Carl Renfro was a true friend to the Opportunity Center in every way. He championed our mission, serving on both the Opportunity Center Foundation Board and the Cherokee Strip Golf Classic Council, and he never turned down an opportunity to show his support for our clients. He personified advocacy in action, and our community as a whole is better because of him.

Thank you for the years of friendship and memories, Carl! You will be greatly missed! 🩵
