YEAR OF THE SPARTAN | HARVEST

Every harvest begins with the land. What comes next depends on the people, knowledge, and innovation we bring to it.

For more than a century, Michigan State University has advanced its land-grant mission through agricultural research, education, and outreach.

Today, Spartans are helping address the challenges of growing food, sustaining natural resources, and strengthening food systems—not only in Michigan, but around the world.

From the fields where food is grown to the laboratories where tomorrow's solutions take shape, Spartan ingenuity is helping cultivate a more sustainable future.

This National Farmers Day, we celebrate the farmers, researchers, educators, and innovators whose work helps feed our communities and shape what comes next.

Spartans Will.
