A fatal crash.
A child abuse call.
A su***de.

Then clear the call and answer the next one like nothing happened.

The badge doesn’t make officers immune to trauma. It means they carry it and keep serving.

Check on your partners. Check on yourself.

Some folks think TMPA only represents officers working patrol. Not even close.

I had the honor of representing several detention officers after a tragic in-custody death. This week the Grand Jury reviewed the case and returned the only correct result: they did nothing wrong. Case closed.

Detention staff do one of the toughest jobs in the system, usually with zero spotlight and a lot of second-guessing after the fact. Proud to stand with them when it matters.
