Today, we pause to remember and honor Recruit Officer Andrew Philipp Sockwell.

Although his time with the Plano Police Department was brief, we continue to honor his memory and recognize his commitment to a career in service to others.

Rest in peace, Officer Sockwell. 🕊️

We're grateful for our community partner who has provided year-round space for the past 23 years but we're looking for a new location as they expand their business for the 2027 season. This year's distribution will not be affected by the transition. Please see the flyer for details.

🎄 WE NEED YOUR HELP, PLANO! 🎄

Our team with the Plano Police Association is already gearing up for the holidays, and we need a new home base for our Christmas Cops program! 🎁 We are urgently seeking donated warehouse space to store gifts and supplies for local families in need.

What we’re looking for:

* 🏢 5,000 sq. ft. year-round, expanding to 10,000 sq. ft. during November and December.
* 📍 Located in Plano or an adjacent city.
* ⚡ Requires loading access, parking, electricity, and climate control.
* 📅 A year-round, multi-year commitment.

What’s in it for you?

Aside from helping us make the holidays brighter for Plano families, your generous donation is tax-deductible since we are a registered 501(c)(3). 🤝

⏳ Deadline to secure space: December 31, 2026

If you or a business you know has commercial space available, please reach out to Paula Vavra at 📞 972-998-5232 or ✉️ [email protected].

Today, we honor the life and service of Lieutenant Earnest “Earnie” Oldham, a true “Officer’s Lieutenant” who dedicated over three decades to public safety.

Earnie began his distinguished career in law enforcement with the Garland Police Department in 1987. In 1992, he joined the Plano Police Department, where he served with dedication for nearly 30 years. Throughout his tenure, he made a lasting impact in numerous roles, including Patrolman, School Resource Officer, Motor Officer, and Accident Reconstructionist.

Recognized for his leadership, Earnie rose through the ranks to Sergeant and then Lieutenant, where he held his crew to a high standard, rooted in ethics, critical thinking, and a commitment to true police work. Above all, his daily goal was clear and paramount: to ensure that every member of his crew made it safely home to their families at the end of every shift.

We will never forget his service. May his legacy live on. 🇺🇸
