Summer schedule!!!

Join us on July 8th - 12th for the our third book sale of the year! This is our annual teachers' sale so all teachers receive a BOGO to help build their libraries for the coming school year.

During the book sale on Saturday, July 11 the library is hosting a party of celebrate the Summer Reading program's conclusion. Come for the party and stay to shop! The Summer Reading program is sponsored by the FOL.

The silent auction ends next Sunday! Do not forget to check on your bids this week and if you have not perused this month's offerings come in and check it out!

There are books by or about famous people, as well as books for World War II enthusiasts and that kids will enjoy.

For young and old alike, the auction has a collector’s edition of the fantasy classic (think trolls, dragons and a wizard) The Hobbit. If superheroes are more your style, Stan Lee’s The Best Marvel Stories contains reprinted stories spanning 70 years and featuring Captain America, Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers and others.

Several cookbooks are available including Stories and Recipes of the Great Depression of the 1930's and More From Your Kitchen Today, Vol. 1, a collection of stories and recipes from individuals who learned to survive on little during the Great Depression.

Be sure to stop by the Plainfield library lobby display case to see what interests you! Bids can be entered in the notebook on the lobby kiosk. Proceeds are used to support library programs for the community.

Most Plainfield schools have finished their school year so the Summer reading program at the library kicks off on Tuesday May 26th. Come join us in the children's room to celebrate summer and reading at 4:00pm in the Children's Room.
