PYAP Positive!

One of our PYAP mentors wanted to make fall break a little extra special for his mentee, and judging by this picture, I’d say they had a pretty great time!

Mentoring isn’t always about serious conversations or giving advice. Sometimes it’s simply showing up, having fun together, building trust and giving a young person another adult who genuinely cares about them.

And that’s when real relationships grow!🧡💚💙💜

💡PYAP Did You Know?

Early Intervention Advocates help advocate for the student AND parents!

When a student is struggling, we know that what happens at home can be just as important as what happens at school. That’s why PYAP focused on the student, but PYAP advocates also listen to parents, support parents, and help connect the entire family with resources.

Sometimes a parent needs someone to listen.
Sometimes they need help finding a local resource.
Sometimes they need an advice or accountability.
And sometimes, they simply need to know they aren’t navigating the circumstance all alone.

Our Early Intervention Advocates walk alongside students and their families, helping to identify needs, connect to community resources, and build a support system around the whole family.

PYAP wants to support students, strengthening families and build the community.

Wear Purple Day is a visible reminder that survivors are not alone and that every one of us can play a role in building safer, healthier relationships and communities.

As we recognize Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, we invite you to start conversations, learn the signs of abuse, and stand with those who have experienced domestic violence.

Together, we can help create a community where everyone feels safe, supported, and seen.

Sometimes, it's simply showing up, helping someone through a difficult season, or making a difference because you can.

At PYAP, we are grateful for the volunteers, mentors, community partners, and supporters who give their time and resources simply because they believe every students deserves a village.

PYAP Positive!!

We are so grateful for all our PYAP volunteers! 🧡

PYAP volunteers go above and beyond to help make their students feel appreciated, heard and a priority. They get to know their student on a level that allows them to connect and know what they need, when they need it.

The feedback from this tutor is so special. She truly cares about her students and knows it's much deeper than academics. She is caring for the entire student and because of that, she is making a huge impact!
