Monrovia Community Garden is alive! 🌱

Planted some donated tomato 🍅 and melon 🍈 starts from Mooresville AgriScience and FFA

Made sure to wear my green shirt on Friday in recognition of Mental Health Month! ☘️

What we harvest from this garden will be distributed amongst volunteers and Churches in Mission Food Pantry!

Backyard Strawberries! These plants were passed along to me from my Mother-In-Law. I bought the raised bed from Facebook Marketplace. I filled the bed with soil from my backyard excavation projects!

Help me plant tomatos in the Monrovia Community Garden tomorrow from 4pm-8pm and Sunday 4pm-8pm 🌱 Harvest is distributed to food pantries and garden volunteers 🍅

The Monrovia community garden is really coming together for the 2026 growing season.
The lack of weeds is extremely impressive, volunteers last year did an amazing job turning what was once a grass lot into a productive garden!
Today we spread mulch, laid down garden bed borders, sown peas + green beans, and buried some Onion sets!
