2 Days Left! Today’s spotlight: Jada Shirriel

"Jada’s track record speaks for itself. If you know Jada, you know she doesn't just build teams; she builds people. I could listen to her insights for hours. She leads with a “people-first” mission, showing us all that real leadership is selfless, reflective, and deeply empowering. She prioritizes the collective over the individual, grows through intentionality, lights the way for others to lead, and meets every challenge with grace. Jada is a constant reminder that when we center our leadership on the success of our teams, the impact is limitless. "- Kashif Henderson, Executive Director

3 Days Left! Today’s spotlight: Rosamaria Cristello.

"Think of a leader who never expects anything but gives everything. That is Rosamaria Cristello.

Witnessing Rosamaria’s journey as the Executive Director of the Latino Community Center has been a masterclass in leadership. She steps up for every opportunity to collaborate, doing so with tremendous selflessness and a relentless focus on putting staff and families first.

What is most impressive is that, throughout an incredibly challenging year for the Latino community, she elevated her commitment to those who needed her most.

On March 27th, we are taking a moment to celebrate her. Join us as we honor a leader who truly deserves the spotlight!" - Albert Garcia, Director of Development

4 Days Left! Today, we’re honoring Mona Dine.

"Impact isn't always measured in social media posts and likes. Change leadership often happens in the quiet moments: the late-night strategy sessions, the behind-the-scenes advocacy, and selfless mentorship.

When Mona Dine was nominated for the Neighborhood Learning Alliance (NLA) Women in the Workforce Influential Powerhouse Award, firsthand accounts of her impact were shared alongside stories from others who heard about her mentorship from afar. This reflects how Mona’s steady, quiet leadership has transformed the professional landscape for many across the region."- Kashif Henderson, Executive Director

"Jamila has an extraordinary impact as a powerhouse within both her field and the broader community. In her role as VP of Provider Operations at Highmark, Jamila leads with a rare blend of strategic brilliance, compassion, and unwavering integrity. Her dedication is evident not only in the outcomes she achieves, but in the way she shows up: with humility, purpose, and a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference.

6 Days Left! Today’s spotlight: Ebony Evans

"Ebony, or as many people know her as, Farmer Girl Eb, is truly one of a kind. I had the privilege of collaborating with her a few years ago to teach students the importance of fresh produce and the power of growing their own food. She jumped on board to support our students without a second thought.

I’ve always been struck by the story of how Ebony got her start. She began simply, teaching kids in her neighborhood how to garden from her own home. Watching that spark grow into a West End storefront and city-wide programming is why I consider her a total community rockstar.

Everyone needs to hear her story of leadership and resilience. I encourage you to join us at the Women in the Workforce event to meet her in person!" - Albert Andrew Garcia, Director of Development & Corporate Partnerships
