🐰 The East Liberty Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 1:00–4:00 PM.

We’re very excited to participate in this community-wide event starting at Indigo Square, with activities walkable to local organizations hosting egg hunts, food, crafts, and games throughout the neighborhood.

“The East Liberty Stock Yards: Blazing a New Trail in American History”
Established in 1863, the East Liberty Stock Yards helped to make Pittsburgh one of the top livestock markets in the United States. Historian and journalist David Rotenstein explores the history of livestock shipping and selling here and the social and economic circumstances that led to the stock yards’ founding, operation, and ultimate abandonment-- in what later became a fashionable neighborhood with beautiful parks and sprawling estates owned by some of the city’s leading industrialists and entrepreneurs.
