Tonight matters.
Pull up and PACK the Allegheny County Council meeting tonight at 5 PM.
We need our community and allies in the room standing against the hateful rhetoric and attacks continuing to target trans people.

Allegheny County Courthouse
$500 will not buy our silence.
After putting out harmful rhetoric targeting trans athletes and contributing to the ongoing attacks, erasure, violence, and genocide against trans people in this country, Pat Catena sent TransYOUniting a $500 donation.
But accountability does not look like quietly sending money to the very community you helped harm.
You do not get to attack trans people publicly, contribute to dangerous narratives, and then attempt to smooth it over without ever speaking to the people impacted by your actions.
That is not leadership.
Pat Catena should step down as County Council President. Leadership requires accountability, and accountability requires more than writing a check after harm has already been done.
If you want to represent this Commonwealth, then you should be willing to engage ALL of your constituents, including trans people whose lives are directly impacted by this rhetoric every single day.
So yes, we are sending the money back.
But before we do, we are showing what people power actually looks like.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 to directly support the work happening every day through TransYOUniting’s program, the QMNTY Continuum, which includes the YOUr Haven Shelter, the QMNTY “Community” Center, the QMNTY Closet, and the free Pantry Café.
Through the QMNTY Continuum, we provide housing support, hot meals and groceries, transportation assistance, workforce development, life skills programming, gender affirming resources, emergency support, clothing and household essentials, community space, and direct support for trans individuals navigating an increasingly hostile political climate.
Trans lives are not political talking points.
Our community is not for sale.
And no amount of money will silence us while trans people are under attack.
We are calling on our community and allies to PACK County Council on May 12 at 5 PM and continue demanding real accountability.
