A huge thank you to the student teams from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember and Telkom University Bandung for presenting their project posters at last week's IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Expo meeting. Supported by IAS and EPICS in IEEE, these initiatives highlight innovative student-led engineering addressing critical community needs.

Students at BMS Institute of Technology and Management are using engineering to strengthen community resilience through SkyPulse, an IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society and EPICS in IEEE project that combines IoT sensors and satellite data to deliver real-time weather and environmental insights. Designed to support disaster preparedness, public health, and sustainability efforts, the system helps communities make informed decisions with localized data.
