Yesterday, a rainbow appeared over the Red Cloud Renewable Energy Center after another blessing of rain.

For our people, rain has always been a gift. It nourishes the earth, strengthens the grasses, and brings renewal to all living things. After years when moisture was scarce, these rains remind us to be grateful for the blessings we receive and the balance they help restore to the land.

As we look upon this beautiful sight, we give thanks for the water, the growth it brings, and the promise carried in every season of renewal.

Looking for an unforgettable summer experience for your child? Camp Marrowbone registration is now open!

Camp Marrowbone offers youth the opportunity to connect with culture, build confidence, make new friends, enjoy outdoor adventures, and create lifelong memories. There are multiple camp sessions available, ranging from 1-week to 2-week experiences, so families can choose the option that works best for them.

Children ages 7 and up are encouraged to attend. Some exceptions may be made for younger children if they have older siblings attending camp.

We’re looking for a reliable and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Pine Ridge area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting day-to-day operations, staying organized, and being part of a mission-driven organization.

Position: Administrative Assistant
Location: In-person at our Pine Ridge office (Monday–Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide general administrative support to staff and leadership
Manage scheduling, emails, and basic office coordination
Assist with document preparation, data entry, and record keeping
Support internal communication and organization of projects

Qualifications:

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
-Strong communication and organizational skills
-Reliable transportation
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Attention to detail and time management skills

We are so proud and honored to share that we’ve been named the South Dakota Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year by the Small Business Administration!

This all started 20 years ago in memory of our matriarch, Lora Moran, and we’ve been building on that ever since. In that time, we’ve faced plenty of changes and challenges... in our business and in our lives. Through it all, we’ve kept showing up. What a beautiful day we shared at our Earth Day Wacipi 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, bundled up, and pushed through the cold to support the community and honor Unci Maka. Your presence truly made the day special.

We had such an amazing time together — from the egg toss to the potato dance, potato sack race, and three-legged race (with prizes all around!), there was so much laughter, joy, and connection.

We’re deeply grateful to the drum groups, the arena directors, and our incredible sponsors who helped make this day possible. It takes a community, and we felt that in every moment.
