We are dedicated to reducing the numbers of unwanted dogs, cats, kittens, puppies and rabbits. Only through spaying and neutering pets can this be achieved. We want to end the suffering and death of homeless animals due to pet overpopulation. Many of these animals are the result of accidental breeding by free-roaming unaltered pets. Each year, millions of unwanted cats and dogs are euthanized (put

to sleep) at shelters across the country. The more pets that are spayed or neutered, the fewer animals that will have to be destroyed. ABC is a non-profit (501 C-3) organization funded through grants, membership fees and donations. Our main focus is to spay/neuter unwanted and abandoned pets. Most of the requests for assistance come from people who have taken stray animals in with the intention of finding them homes. We are not an animal shelter. We do provide guidance in trapping, neutering and release Trap-Neuter-Return" (TNR). ABC offers funding assistance to pet owners needing help to defray the cost of neutering and spaying. ABC does not have a clinic of our own, but we work with select local veterinarians in Ocean county and select parts of Monmouth County NJ, who work with us to performing this service.

PLEASE.....NEVER LEAVE YOUR TRAPS UNATTENDED

I'm sharing this photo from another rescuer. Please if you are trapping, NEVER leave your traps unattended. As you can see so many things can go wrong. Thankfully she is an experienced trapper and never leaves her traps unattended. By the grace of God this kitten wasn't injured. Our mission is to help them. We certainly don't want to hurt them.

Stray cats are not the problem, they are the result of what was left undone. Behind every life on the street is a story shaped by neglect, lack of care, and systems that failed to protect them.
