We know, we know… it’s Monday and we’re posting about Wednesday. 😅

Last Wednesday, we delivered meals from Jersey Mike's Subs to our veterans, seniors, and families in need, while our friends at Vetwork enjoyed meals from Charlie's Pizza Restaurant & Pub 💙 We also were able to pack up some delicious apples and oranges from Stop & Shop 🍎🍊

We also celebrated our June Volunteer of the Month, Seashore Pat! She’s relatively new to the ANWF family, but you’d never know it. Pat jumped in with both feet and has already made such a huge impact. We’re so grateful for her willingness to help wherever she’s needed.

A big thank you to The Flower Bar for the beautiful bouquet that helped us celebrate Pat! 🌸

To Pat and all of our volunteers: thank you for showing up, pitching in, and proving week after week that good people still do amazing things for their community. We couldn’t do this without you… and we’d probably be even later with our Facebook posts. ❤️

More Than a Meal Monday ❤️

This week’s quote comes from one of the families enrolled in our Weekly Meal Delivery Program.

While many people think of food insecurity as an issue affecting seniors, 14 of the households we currently serve are families with children. These families may be facing challenges such as medical issues, job loss, reduced work hours, caregiving responsibilities, disability, transportation barriers, or the rising cost of everyday living.

For many families, a nutritious meal delivered each week means one less worry and the ability to focus on what matters most: caring for their loved ones and maintaining stability during difficult times.

We’re excited to share that A Need We Feed will be featured on Brookdale Public Radio, 90.5 The NIGHT , as part of their local nonprofit spotlight.

Tune in on Monday, 6/8 during local news at 6:30 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:30 AM, and noon to hear more about our mission, our weekly meal delivery program, and the work being done to fight food insecurity in Ocean County.

A shorter promo will also be running throughout the week, so keep listening.

We’re grateful to Stefanie Worton and 90.5 The Night for highlighting local nonprofits and helping spread awareness about A Need We Feed. We hope our supporters will tune in and share the news with others.

We are incredibly grateful that our friends at Stop & Shop have chosen A Need We Feed to participate in the Bloomin' 4 Good Program this month and even more honored to have been selected at TWO locations!
