Happy World Environment Day from our slice of paradise to your screen!

We are thrilled to make a difference and be a voice for the incredible natural wonders of our Bay and all of the people and wildlife who call them home.

Check out the difference YOU have helped us make in the first part of this year alone and please consider donating to our mission for a better and healthier Bay!

Save Barnegat Bay is proud to be the only independent water nonprofit dedicated to protecting and restoring Barnegat Bay and its watershed.

As we work to accomplish our mission of a better and brighter Bay, we are so incredibly grateful to the wonderful people and organization whose support helps us make a difference.

We want to give a HUGE thank you to Spring Lake Brielle Rotary Club for their amazing support over the years and for their generous donation today!

The Rotary Club's of our amazing watershed do so much to better the lives of those that live in our communities, and their support helps us ensure that our home waters are protected for all to enjoy.

Thank you!

Save Barnegat Bay is honored to be able to use our EcoCenter to support our Scouts and nothing makes us more proud or happy than seeing them achieve their goals.

We want to give a huge thank you to Clifton for the amazing work he has done helping us with our Farm Stand and an even bigger congratulations for achieving his Eagle Scout status for that work!

This farm stand has helped support our Community Supported Agriculture partnerships and serves as an incredible resource for our neighbors and community members as they look to get farm fresh produce!

Thank you again Clifton, we wish you all the success in the world for your future endeavors!

Should we ask him about the weather?

Nothing like a spring salad after some rain! This not so little guy payed our EcoCenter a visit this week getting his munch on after our recent rain storm.

Listen to those munches haha

One rain barrel makes a difference for your household, but a room full of rain barrels makes a difference for the entire Bay...

We had a great time with the incredible folks at Point Pleasant Beach as we hosted last night's rain barrel workshop!

Close to 50 community members joined us at Borough Hall to learn about the benefits these barrels have when it comes to helping our communities better manage stormwater.

Huge thanks to the Point Pleasant Beach Environmental Commission, PBB's DPW, and the amazing community members/volunteers who helped make this event possible!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING MEETING AT LACEY TONIGHT:

We wanted to take the opportunity to address some confusion that’s been circulating online regarding a potential data center in Lacey Township.

To start, there is NO data center that has been proposed or being considered in Lacey Twp. at this time.

While this can always change, it is important to not let anxiety or rumors cause unnecessary concern.

In fact, the meeting that many online have been talking about regarding AI is not about a data center proposal, but rather is in fact a public discussion about these centers and the ordinances our shore towns can pass to prevent these facilities.

Save Barnegat Bay is committed to ensuring that any industry that tries to come into our watershed does so in environmentally responsible ways and providing our community with important and accurate information!

Rain Barrel Workshops require all sorts of collaboration to be successful and we wanted to take the time today to shout out some folks working behind the scenes to help make these workshops a hit!

As we get ready for Pt. Pleasant Beach's upcoming workshop tomorrow we wanted to thank Dom and Mike from Pt. Pleasant's public works for coming to pick up the barrels and our awesome interns Anna, Maddie, and Violette for helping to get these barrels ready.

While spots are filled for tomorrow's event, we are thrilled to be offering more workshops throughout the summer and our watershed - so stay tuned to our social media to find the next one nearest to you!

We had an absolutely incredible time working with Barnegat Twp. at our most recent Rain Barrel Workshop!

Participants got the chance to learn how these simple barrels can help slow storm surges, reduce pollution and flooding in our communities, and even stop plastic waste in our landfills.

Stay tuned for details on our upcoming workshops and how you can discover the special benefits these pieces of green infrastructure can have at our homes!

Fun at work…

Our Rain Barrel Workshops couldn’t be possible without the generous donations from our amazing Marina supporters like and who graciously provided all of the barrels for our upcoming workshops!

By repurposing and cleaning nontoxic antifreeze barrels we not only provide rain barrels for our community that will help reduce flooding and stormwater pollution, we also reduce plastic pollution in our landfills too!

We are beyond excited for tomorrow’s Rain Barrel Workshop in Barnegat and wanted to share that we have a very few open spots left for the workshop!

These remaining openings are first come, first serve and we hope to see you all there!

Tomorrow’s workshop is at the Barnegat Rec Center at 6:00pm - 900 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat Twp. 08005
