PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP TO OUR PROPERTY UNINVITED*🔴 Here at GCRR, our mission is for no non-native reptiles to be abandoned, or released into the wild to fend for themselves. We are here as a resource for any and all reptile owners. We accept owner surrenders, rehabilitate the sick/injured, house the unadoptable, and adopt the adoptable to responsible, permanent homes.

🐢📣 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣🐢

I would like to share some important news.

This has been a decision that I have thought long and hard about. I know in my heart it is the right one, for a variety of reasons.

I have decided that we are narrowing our primary focus/mission to rescuing/offering sanctuary to tortoises.

We recieve such a high volume of surrender requests for tortoises, and the need is clearly there. The tortoises also happen to be a species that I enjoy working with so deeply. Anyone who knows me, knows that they are a huge passion of mine.

***We will still remain a resource for non-native reptiles for our surrounding police departments, animal control/shelters, and fish and wildlife agencies. That will not change!***

We still have a beautiful line up of various adoptable species that are awaiting homes, and any animal we have here as a sanctuary or special needs resident regardless of species will still be living their lives out here with us!

As always, we appreciate your support! 💚

🐍💚🚗 Transport help needed 🚗 💚🐍

We have two larger snakes as well as their enclosures that need to get from Montgomery, Alabama to as close to Picayune, MS as possible.

I can meet part way, I just cannot make the entire trip.

The two enclosures are PVC and are 6 feet x 3 feet, so whatever vehicle you have would have to be able to accomdate such.

If you think you are able to assist, please send us a private message and we can discuss in more detail.

Thank you!

Hello friends!

In lieu of $5 Friday, I am sharing this important post again in order to hopefully be able to make more progress in the refurbishing of our original wing of tortoise pens. We also had two of our juvenile pens wash out in the significant flooding we had here after the tropical storm.

Every dollar makes a significant difference!

Thank you! 💚

Just a quick thank you to those who have reached out and checked on us!

We are in Picayune, and there is significant flooding happening here. We have been dilligently working to ensure all animals and humans are safe on our property.

If I take a little longer than usual to respond to messages or inquiries, please understand we have a serious situation we are dealing with here and are doing our best. I will get back to any inquiries ASAP.

Thank you for your understanding!

Sharing this again, we have so many deserving adoptables!
