Animal Adoption Society, Inc. Non profit, no kill animal rescue, serving SE Louisiana & S Mississippi AAS has a "No-Kill" policy, being more of a sanctuary type setting than a shelter.

We hold various fundraisers such as pet washes, yard sales & can shakes and are always on the prowl for volunteers and loving homes (foster) for our pets. We survive on donations - without donations, we would have to shut down our operation. Please consider giving a donation today. All donations are tax deductible. After Hurricane Katrina, many of our members relocated across the country. Though,

the number of volunteers and foster homes have decreased, tremulously, we are still helping many needed animals. Today, we operate in both Louisiana(Greater New Orleans area) and Southern Mississippi.

The Humane Society of South Mississippi is excited to announce that Veterinary Urgent Care is coming soon and will be opening in July! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’™

Our new after-hours urgent care clinic will help bridge the gap when your pet needs care outside regular vet hours, offering compassionate treatment when every second counts.

๐Ÿ“… Wednesdayโ€“Friday: 5 PM โ€“ Midnight
๐Ÿ“… Saturday & Sunday: 12 PM โ€“ 8 PM

Welcome Oscar! Oscar is a 5 year old, 15 lbs, Dachshund mix. He wonโ€™t be available for adoption just yet. We need to get rid of those nasty heartworms โค๏ธ ๐Ÿชฑ ๐Ÿพ ๐Ÿ’Š๐Ÿ’‰
Oscar was rescued by a Good Samaritan. Sheโ€™s about to leave for a new job & asked us to help finish getting Oscar healthy. We wish her all the best in her new job & future. Stay tune for updates on Oscar.

This is BIG for our rescue. โค๏ธ๐Ÿพ

THIS Friday, May 15th from 10AMโ€“1PM, Jordanโ€™s Way๐Ÿพ is coming to help us raise awareness, exposure, and critical funds for our little (but mighty!) rescueโ€ฆ but we need YOUR help to make it happen!!

This is our chance to shine a HUGE spotlight on the animals who need us most โ€” and we donโ€™t want to miss it!

Weโ€™re looking for volunteers who are ready to:

๐Ÿ“ฑ Bring their cell phones
๐ŸŽ‰ Help share the LIVE fundraiser
๐Ÿถ Have fun with the animals
