Your nervous system has different ways of responding to the world around you.
You may notice moments of feeling calm and connected, times of stress or urgency, or even periods where everything feels slowed down or distant.
These responses are natural and are part of how the body works to protect and support you.
With gentle awareness and simple tools like breathing, grounding, movement, and connection with others, many people find they can move back toward a greater sense of safety and connection.
You do not have to navigate this alone. Support is available.

Sometimes growth starts with a game.
Game Group creates a supportive space for youth to build emotional awareness, practice coping skills, and connect with others through shared experiences. With guidance along the way, everyday moments like winning, losing, and problem-solving become opportunities for learning and growth.
Participants can build confidence, strengthen communication, and feel more connected in a space that meets them where they are.

Sometimes healing happens through conversation. Sometimes it happens through creating.
Jewelry Group gives youth a chance to express themselves in a different way. Through making bracelets, earrings, and necklaces, participants can build confidence, strengthen focus, and experience connection in a calm, supportive space.
It is about more than the finished piece. It is about the process, the shared moments, and the sense of pride that grows along the way.

Some experiences are easier to express through color, movement, and creativity.
Watercolor Group offers youth a chance to step into a calm, supportive environment where they can explore different painting techniques while building self-awareness and practicing mindfulness.
It is not about being an artist. It is about having space to pause, create, and reconnect in a way that feels natural.

Notice your breath.
Notice your body.
Take a moment to pause and gently remind yourself
you made it to today.

Even on hard days, your presence matters. Your resilience matters.
If today feels heavy, try one slow breath in… and one slow breath out. You do not have to do everything at once.

You are important. Mental Health Awareness Month is a time to reflect on the importance of caring for our mental well-being and supporting one another.

Each year, many individuals experience mental health challenges, and talking about it can help reduce stress and build meaningful connection. Small steps today, like taking breaks, moving your body, practicing gratitude, or reaching out for support, can make a difference over time.
Asking for help is a sign of strength. No one has to navigate this alone.

Take a moment today to check in with yourself and connect with someone you trust. Together, we can create a community where everyone feels supported and valued.

We had the privilege of being part of the Gospel Rescue Mission's Easter Blessings event in Tucson this season, where neighbors came together to offer real support, free services, and a whole lot of heart.

From haircuts under the tent to smiles that say "you matter," days like these are a powerful reminder that care is something we build together.
Thank you to everyone who gave their time, their gifts, and their presence. You make this community stronger.
