Im saddened to share that Guppy crossed over this afternoon.
I have this theory that I believe aligns with our experience with him & put simply, it is that some dogs hold on until their souls finally feel understood. They spend their lives searching for safety, belonging, and love, and when they finally find it, they take a deep breath, soak it all in, and their bodies quietly let go. Guppy’s earthly journey was no exception.
The universe brought Guppy to Sky Sanctuary so we could help him find Kimberly and Andrew. He needed them in a way only they could understand, and in a kismet sort of way, they needed him too. What they shared was exactly what all three of them were meant to find.
Rest easy, Guppy guy. I hope you’ve found peace, an endless supply of camping cheese, and the very best friends on the other side. I’d like to think you’re already getting Ford up to speed on Ted’s lawn, doing bush reviews in the clouds, and above all, carrying with you the certainty that you were deeply loved, exactly as you were.
