Grief is love’s most powerful spell. It takes all the light they brought into our lives and tucks it deep within us, where it glows quietly forever. That’s the kind of magic they, Bunny, left behind.

I just wanted to thank this community for showing me grace during this time. The passing of Bunny has hit me pretty hard— and it’s taken some time to really process. I used to compartmentalize and move quickly through grief, but now I sit in it… and just allow myself to feel.

So thank you for your patience. Despite the pause on social channels, the show has definitely gone on behind the scenes. We have SO many new updates, a few really special new intakes + BIG plans for all things holiday this year.

Our ever so talented friend pawsitivelyhannah stopped by the sanctuary for a photoshoot of all the sky animals at the beginning of the month. Photos came back and they are SO special. Her work definitely speaks for itself. Keep your eyes on the “story section” of our profile to see all the beautiful animals + their associated updates! (I will also create a highlight so they can be viewed after the stories time out).

There is no easy way for me to share this news with you all… we lost Bunny tonight. if you would like to participate in the “Bones for Bunny” campaign, I have added a link in our bio. It is my hope that we can bring a little joy in the form a benebone to every shelter dog in the valley, just like Bunny brought so much joy into our lives. They were her favorite + I thought it would be nice to distribute them in her honor. I am eternally grateful to this community for giving her the opportunity to live a quality life in the time she had on this earth.
