Last Wednesday, our Development & Communications Coordinator, Chloe, had the opportunity to return to her alma mater, Temple University, to join a panel discussion for the Human Development and Community Engagement major’s Professional Seminar 1 class. ❤️

The panel brought together students interested in careers in the human services and nonprofit sector, giving Chloe the opportunity to share insight into her experience working in nonprofit fundraising and communications, including the important role that marketing and development play in advancing an organization’s mission.

Chloe also had the chance to offer advice and encouragement to students who are passionate about making a difference in their communities and pursuing meaningful careers in the nonprofit sector.

Our staff got into the fall spirit with a fun round of Fall This or That! After voting, the SCCA team chose apple pie over pumpkin pie, hayrides over corn mazes, sweet potatoes over mashed potatoes, and sweaters over flannels! 🍁

Thank you to everyone who joined us for today’s Lunch & Learn!

A huge thank you to Holland & Knight for hosting us and welcoming attorneys from different firms to learn more about the Support Center for Child Advocates and what it means to become a volunteer advocate. We loved having the opportunity to share more about our mission, the children we serve, and the incredible impact our volunteer attorneys have on the lives of children throughout Philadelphia.

Our staff came together today for an in-office day filled with learning, crafting and connection. We took time to slow down, practice mindfulness, and recharge together, while also learning more about the incredible work happening across our organization.

It was a great opportunity to better understand each other’s roles, share what we do, and connect with colleagues we may not get to see every day.

Most importantly, we got to bond as a team and spend time together outside of our usual day-to-day routines. We’re grateful for the opportunity to come together, learn from one another, and continue building a strong SCCA community! 💙
