Our humble, orange fridge gets an incredible amount of food to neighbors that need it thanks to a network of community members, volunteers, and partners.

As quickly as we fill, our shelves empty. Lately we’ve been so lucky to have a huge amount of produce coming in each week but we need to fill in the gaps.

🥪Premade meals, sides, or sandwiches help folks without a kitchen or the ability to cook, and give busy families a reprieve.

Let’s catch you all up.

Community fridges work by neighbors redistributing resources to other neighbors who might need some extra support. It’s a simple idea that can make a huge impact.

We are 100% volunteer run and all the food in the fridge comes from community contributions, partnered businesses and organizations. We stock as much and as often as we can, but it is directly impacted by what’s available. We are working really hard to keep adding more partners to increase how much food we can stock because we’re seeing more and more people at the fridge every week.

Any help you can give makes an impact in our neighborhood, on our block, on our doorstep. That’s pretty amazing.

Hey neighbors. We’re up to our eyeballs in bok choy. Please come take some because we would really hate to see this beautiful green go to waste.

We’re seeing some yellow leaves, so peel them off and you have a nutrient dense power house!

Come take some avocados! They are right at that stage where they are perfectly mashable. You can also cut them and freeze them for smoothies or recipes down the line.

For all you guacamole lovers, there are also tomatoes and jalapeño peppers today.

WE NEED PANTRY STAPLES!

We’re so lucky to have several partners that make it possible for us to stock the fridge with regular produce and premade meals multiple times a week. But right now our pantry is pretty empty.

Community support is critical in making fridges work! Anyone can drop off extra items they might have and aren’t eating, or shop sales next time they’re at the store.

Sharing non-perishable staples help your neighbors turn the produce we stock into full meals!
