Earlier this week, Dr. Kaskowitz and members of our team participated in the Philadelphia Conference for School Nurses held at Lincoln Financial Field. During the conference, Dr. Kaskowitz delivered a comprehensive refresher on managing sprains, strains, and fractures in the school setting, and engaged directly with school nurses to share valuable insights as the new school year begins.

Did you know Shriners Children's Philadelphia and Shriners Children's Doylestown treat concussions?

At one cheerleading practice, Addison took an elbow to the face, resulting in a concussion. Due to the proactive and detail-oriented care of sports medicine physician, Dr. Kaskowitz, as well as physical medicine and rehabilitation physician Dr. Lipa, Addison is back to cheering with her squad. Addison was treated in our Doylestown clinic and Philadelphia hospital.

Our patient, Sarah, recently played in the American Amputee Soccer Cup, and it was a wonderful experience for her! ⚽👏

Last year, Sarah was living her life as a typical teen, when suddenly an infection led to an above-the-knee amputation of her leg. Now, she is practicing running and returning to the sports she loves. She is a resilient girl who constantly perseveres in the face of adversity! Go, Sarah! ✨
