World Heritage Month has finally come to a close!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating and showcasing our world-class city.

This year marks 11 years since became a World Heritage City. What began as a week-long celebration has grown into a month-long program, a testament not only to the growing profile of our city, but also to the rich history, culture, and heritage present in Philadelphia.

A special thank you to our community partners, whose collaboration made it possible to deliver more than 200 events throughout this milestone year.

Thank you as well to the , our sponsors, and our media partners for their continued support in making World Heritage Month a success.

Last but not least, thank you to Team GPA for the hard work and dedication that brought this celebration to life.

Explore the exciting opportunities available to young people in Philadelphia, ages 18 - 28. Explore three World Heritage Cities in North America and Europe for a two-week period from June to October. The winner will receive 1,500 euros to cover travel and expenses. The application closes on JUNE 14, 2026.
