Teens continue to lead by speaking up about distraction and choosing safer habits for themselves and their peers.

Their voices make a real difference.

This leadership reflects the spirit of Casey and the kindness she lived by.

Because of Casey

Every life we touch, every student we reach, and every safe choice made on the road is part of Casey’s legacy.

This Mother’s Day, give your mom the one thing she wants most: for you to arrive safely. 💛

A reminder from the Casey Feldman Foundation: no distraction is worth a life. Put the phone away, stay focused, and make it home safe.

In memory of Casey Feldman and every life changed by distracted driving, let’s honor our loved ones by driving with care.

On July 17, 2009, Casey Feldman was killed by a distracted driver while crossing the street in a crosswalk on her way to work. She was 21.

Her death sparked a movement.

Since then, thousands of students, drivers, and communities have heard Casey’s story through End Distracted Driving presentations across the country.

Her life, and her loss, continue to remind us what’s at stake when we’re not fully present behind the wheel.

We’re remembering Casey Feldman, who would have been 38 years old today, but, she was killed by a distracted driver in 2009. She is the reason for the founding of The Casey Feldman Foundation and it’s sponsored project, EndDD. Casey was walking in a crosswalk on her way to work when a driver struck and killed her.

Distracted driving doesn’t just hurt strangers. It can take the life of someone you love or someone else’s child, sibling, or friend. So today, in Casey’s memory, we’re asking:

🚗 What are YOU doing to stay focused behind the wheel?

Turn on Do Not Disturb. Speak up if you're a passenger. Commit to driving fully present. Don’t wait until it’s too late. The cost of distraction is too high.

Consider donating $38 to our Foundation today in honor of Casey's 38th birthday. https://www.facebook.com/donate/1645740320070793/1382673630569258/

Most of the time, distracted driving does not look dramatic. It looks like a quick glance at a notification, a moment spent looking for a song, or “just checking” something at a red light.
Those small moments can have life changing consequences.

At the Casey Feldman Foundation and EndDD.org, we believe the opposite is also true. Small choices can save lives. Putting the phone in the glove box. Asking a driver to wait until they are parked. Sharing one story or one presentation that changes how someone drives.

Because of Casey, we keep inviting people to make different choices, one trip at a time.

Today’s high schoolers are tomorrow’s safest drivers, and they’re already inspiring the generation behind them.

As part of his efforts to raise awareness about road safety, Joel Feldman spoke with teens at Oakcrest High School about the dangers of distracted driving. Not only did they commit to driving without distraction, they volunteered to read “Sam’s Trip to the Beach” (an EndDD.org storybook) to students at St. Vincent de Paul Regional School.

It’s never too early to teach kids how to stay safe around cars, traffic, and distracted drivers. When young people learn that distraction is preventable, they become powerful advocates who can help make distracted driving socially unacceptable.

We’re so proud of these students for spreading this life-saving message.

Because of Casey, this work continues. 💗
