DOPE Doing Our Part Eclectically

DOPE is in Washington, DC today with 7 meetings on the books.

We’re advocating for Head Start funding because we see the need every single week. Families are working hard, but without access to early childhood programs, the gap only grows.

This is bigger than a meeting. This is about making sure our communities are represented where decisions are being made.

And yes… if we’re being honest, the Senate is a little nicer than the House 😂

But no matter the room, we’re showing up with purpose.

A group of ladies showed up for a sister battling thoughts of unaliving herself.

We didn’t just pray.
We cleaned.
We organized.
We created space for peace.

We offered a loving, calm, safe, non-judgmental moment of clarity.

I know what it feels like when overwhelm spills into your home and into every other area of your life. Sometimes the mess isn’t laziness… it’s heaviness.

We’re not just an organization that serves the unhoused.
Through Doing Our Part Eclectically (DOPE), we serve people. Period.

We strive to eliminate and alleviate what plagues our community — whether it’s homelessness, hunger, or silent battles behind closed doors.

That’s what DOPE people do. 🖤✨
