Need a document notarized? Newark Public Library now offers free notary services for eligible library cardholders.
No appointment is required for October drop-in hours.
• Maximum of 3 documents per visit
• Free for eligible NPL cardholders (Newark residents, students, employees, and property owners)
• $2.50 per notarization for those not eligible for a free NPL card
• Valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID required
Visit the Main Branch on the following dates this October:
Wednesday, Oct 7: 10 am - 12 pm
Wednesday, Oct 14: 2 pm - 4 pm
Wednesday, Oct 21: 4 pm - 6 pm
Please note that certain documents, including wills, deeds, powers of attorney, mortgages, birth certificates, and non-English documents, cannot be notarized.
All documents must be signed in the presence of the notary.
Services may be declined if identification, documentation, or circumstances cannot be verified.
