If you've driven past the pond at Covered Bridge Park recently, you may have noticed that it isn't looking as spiffy as it used to. We need to get it dredged, and tackle the invasive water lettuce plants that have been bombarding the water for the past few years.
This project comes with a hefty price-tag. As the park is privately owned by a non-profit organization, tax dollars do not fund this work. We are asking the public to help pitch in - even if it's just a few dollars. Every bit helps! All donations will go 100% towards funding the pond revitalization project, and we appreciate any help you can give.

Last Saturday we had a successful Work Day at Covered Bridge Park. A big thank you to all our volunteers, and to Bob Tumelty from Tumelty Tree Service for helping spread several piles of wood chips with his front loader. Covered Bridge Park is owned and maintained by an all-volunteer group. Thank you to everyone who pitched in!

Although New Britain Civic Association meetings are usually the 4th Monday of each month at 7:30pm, this month the 4th Monday is Memorial Day. So for this month, we will meet on Tuesday, May 26th at 7:30pm at Burkart Hall. Hope to see you there!

From time to time, things break at Covered Bridge Park, and the volunteer members of the New Britain Civic Association spring into action to repair whatever needs fixing. Even though our volunteers do the heavy lifting, we could always use donations to help pay for the materials needed.
