Three years later, October 7 still weighs heavily on our hearts.

In a powerful reflection, Hadassah National President Carol Ann Schwartz reminds us that remembering those we lost must go hand in hand withstanding together — and looking toward the future.

For the Hadassah, Zionist and Jewish communities, October 7 is a day to remember, to unite and to reaffirm our commitment to hope and healing.

From protecting patients in underground hospital facilities to treating physical and emotional trauma, rehabilitating those rebuilding their lives and welcoming the next generation, Hadassah continues to turn resilience into action.

Because the Jewish story is bigger than the day that changed so much. It is a story we continue to create — through courage, community, healing and hope. 💙

For Josie Kivort, saying yes to joining Hadassah began with a simple desire to make friends. What followed was a decades-long journey of friendship, leadership, philanthropy and advocacy.

Hadassah leaders and members continue to be at the forefront of fighting antisemitism in healthcare – and we’re making an impact! In September, HHS issued guidance clarifying that federal civil rights law protects Jewish and Israeli patients, students and professionals from discrimination across healthcare settings. At the same time, Hadassah life member Dr. Hedy S. Wald authored an important report documenting the scale and scope of antisemitism across health professions.

Honoring a legacy of care. Celebrating a new generation of caregivers. 💙

For more than a century, Hadassah nurses have been part of a family committed to healing, compassion and service.

At a moving scholarship ceremony at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem, six outstanding nurses and midwives were honored — including two recipients whose scholarships commemorate the lives and legacies of soldiers who fell on October 7, 2023.

Made possible in part through endowments to Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America, these scholarships carry forward a powerful message: remembering those who inspired others to serve, care and make a difference.

From honoring heroes to investing in the future of nursing, the Hadassah family continues to turn legacy into action. 💙

The Hadassah Medical Organization has once again been named by Newsweek among the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2027, earning global recognition in oncology, cardiology and, for the first time, cardiac surgery.

This marks the seventh consecutive year Hadassah has been recognized for cardiology and the sixth consecutive year for oncology.
