Big shoutout to Wissahickon senior Giulio Carbo and Abington Friends 8th grader Hart Gunby for bringing the energy to our Activity Thursday in Ambler and making sure every player had fun, felt safe, and felt included.

I first noticed Giulio years ago at Wissahickon Middle School, quietly picking up trash in the cafeteria that other students had left behind. No one asked him. He just did it. I remember thinking, “That’s exactly the kind of young man we want at The On Deck Circle.” And he’s proven it ever since.

Giulio brings that same character and leadership to our programs and is exactly the kind of role model we want for our participants and young coaches including my own son.

Hart brought that same spirit Thursday, jumping in, connecting with our players, and helping make the day special with Giulio in the lead.

Proud to have young leaders like these two in our circle. Best of luck in your senior year, Giulio! Keep leading.

Thank you for inviting us out to We Care Activity Thursday this week in Ambler!

WeCare Activity Thursdays this week features baseball with The On Deck Circle , three arts and crafts activities, and our amazing Bike Squad. Get a bike and bring your bike for repair. See you at Pickering Field, 5pm - 6pm. Lots of popsicles and water will be provided. Everything is free.

Las Actividades WeCare de los jueves esta semana incluyen béisbol con The On Deck Circle, dos actividades de arte y manualidades, y nuestro increíble Bike Squad. Yesterday, we kicked off our BackYard Baseball Summer Camp Series at North Hills Collective Summer Camp, and we couldn’t be more excited to be back!

Our summer camp series is designed to bring the game of baseball directly to camps across the Philadelphia area, giving both first-time and experienced players the opportunity to learn, play, and have fun in an inclusive, supportive environment. Whether it’s a child’s very first swing or another step in their baseball journey, we’re committed to creating memorable experiences that build confidence, friendships, and a love for the game.
