🌲🥾 Exploring the Outdoors! 🥾🌲

Andrew had a great time exploring the new Nature Trail at Mount Monadnock! He enjoyed getting outside, checking out the trail, and taking in all the sights and sounds of nature along the way. 🌿☀️

Outdoor adventures like this are a great way to stay active, explore our local community, and discover new places. Way to go, Andrew! 👏

📣 LOCAL BUSINESSES — WE HAVE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO WORK!

Monadnock Worksource supports adults with disabilities who are ready, willing, and proud to work in their local communities. We’re looking for businesses that have real work that needs to get done — even if it’s only a few hours a week.

And we can make it easy for your business.

🤝 Monadnock Worksource can contract directly with your business and handle the payroll responsibilities. You provide the opportunity and the work — we can take care of the employment paperwork and payroll.

Do you have tasks that could use an extra set of hands?

🧹 Clean and tidy a break room
📬 Pick up or drop off mail
📦 Break down boxes or organize supplies
🗑️ Empty trash and recycling
🧽 Wipe down tables or common areas
🛒 Run simple errands or pick up supplies
🗂️ Sort, stock, shred, file, or organize
🌿 Help with light outdoor cleanup
🛍️ Straighten merchandise or stock shelves
🐾 Help with routine tasks at a local business

It doesn't have to be a traditional 20- or 40-hour-a-week job. Maybe you have two hours of work each week. Maybe there's a task your employees never seem to have time to get to. Maybe you need someone every morning, every Friday, or just a few times a week.

Let's talk about it!

For the adults we support, these opportunities provide much more than a paycheck. Work builds independence, confidence, skills, relationships, and a sense of belonging in the community.

For your business, it means getting needed work accomplished while helping create a community where everyone has an opportunity to contribute.

💚 Real work. Real opportunities. Local people. For more information on how we can help your business, contact us: [email protected] or [email protected]

Misty, Jana, Jim, Joel and Staff recently enjoyed a whale watch trip that departed from Hampton Beach. It was a perfect day out on the ocean with plenty of activity in the water. Whales, dolphins, giant sun fish and tuna. A very memorable experience.

Yesterday, Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander visited Monadnock Worksource, where she had the opportunity to meet several of the individuals we support and learn more about our programs.

Following her visit, Congresswoman Goodlander joined Rob Gillis, our Executive Director, along with several parents of the individuals we serve and leaders from local nonprofit organizations in the Peterborough area for a thoughtful discussion about the needs of our community, the challenges facing individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, and opportunities to strengthen the services and supports available throughout the Monadnock Region.

We sincerely appreciate Congresswoman Goodlander taking the time to visit, listen, and engage in meaningful conversations with the individuals we support, their families, and our community partners. Together, these discussions help raise awareness and strengthen support for inclusive, person-centered services in our community.

What to do on a cool, cloudy, rainy day?
Invite some friends to get some ice cream? Sure, why not!
Pam, Jana, Joel decided to meet up this afternoon for a little visit and some ice cream at Rick's in Keene. I think everyone was pretty happy with their decision based off those empty bowls.
