First Bridge First Bridge is a nonprofit organization created to serve the Petal community by connecting people with resources, relationships, and the hope of the gospel.

It is a community based ministry with hopes to meet social, physical, and emotional needs.

Help us fill our Fall Break Weekend Food Bags for Petal Primary School! šŸ„œšŸ“

First Bridge is collecting peanut butter and jelly in plastic containers only to help make sure our students have plenty to eat while theyā€™re away from school during Fall Break.

Donations are needed by Sunday, September 13 and can be dropped off in the lobby of Petal First Baptist Church!

Every jar makes a difference, and we are so thankful for a community that continues to show up for our kids! ā¤ļøšŸ¾

Last week was a beautiful reminder of what it means to be the hands & feet of Jesus in our community! We are still in AWE of the turnout at this year's resource fair and thankful for all who volunteered.

We are especially grateful for the community organizations, health screeners, hairstylists, and barbers that participated this year! Thank you for the ways you support children & families in Petal, MS and for sharing that information and resources with them šŸ’™

We canā€™t stop thinking about Monday!!! We were overwhelmed by the number of volunteers who chose to serve at this yearā€™s health fair. MANY months went into preparing for the fair & we are so grateful for those who chose to serve throughout the Summer & during our event!

Whether a community member, school district employee, student, or just a friend of First Bridge we want to say THANK YOU! šŸ’™ Thank you for choosing to be the hands & feet of Jesus in Petal, MS. Thank you for being loving, compassionate, and willing to serve others wholeheartedly. You showed up & served others well and we are grateful for you!

We also want to give a HUGE shout out to the Boy Scouts Troop 3 of Petal for preparing and delivering Chick Fil A lunches to our volunteers, vendors, & health screeners. Chick-fil-A Petal - THANK YOU for the lunches provided and for your continued support of First Bridge and our annual Health FairšŸ„ā¤ļø

Wow - what a day! We are overwhelmed with joy from the 2026 Petal Family Health & Resource Fair! There are MANY people & organizations who helped make this event possible - like Ms. Debbie who manned the First Bridge table ALL DAY šŸ˜‰

Weā€™ll spend the next few weeks sharing more about those who were involved, but first, we want thank our Petal families. Thank you for showing up, learning about what our community has to offer, and being patient with us throughout the day. We are so grateful to be a small part of helping you get ready for the new school year! This year, we are praying for safety, community connections, & little reminders that God is with you and loves you deeply ā¤ļø

And if you missed the fair this year, donā€™t worry! Weā€™ll have appointments available for you next week, so be on the look out for those days/times.
