What a joy and privilege it has been to celebrate you throughout this special recognition. From walking the halls of Petal and reflecting on the memories and moments that helped shape your journey, to spending time with former classmates and friends, every moment served as a reminder that the experiences and relationships formed within the Petal School District become the foundation for future success. Your message to the Class of 2026, that looking back with gratitude and appreciation not only honors the past, but also inspires excellence in all future endeavors, was so timely and powerful.
It is also an especially meaningful honor for the Petal Education Foundation to recognize you, as your father, Truman Roberts, was one of the charter members who helped establish the Foundation in 1987. To celebrate a legacy that has impacted generations of students, both through your family’s service and your own accomplishments, makes this recognition even more special to our Foundation and community.
Thank you, Dr. Roberts, for representing Petal so well and for continuing to invest in the next generation. Your legacy is one of integrity, compassion, and a commitment to making a difference. We are incredibly proud to honor you as one of our own. Congratulations!
