Tomorrow night from 6-8pm, at the Petal Civic Center, come out and enjoy an exclusive display of Petal historic photos and video footage. Due to copyrights privileges, some of this content will only be available tomorrow night, so please come out, eat some cake, visit with friends, look at some photos, and view some early Petal film footage.
The city officially incorporated on April 5, 1974, after separating from Hattiesburg the day before. By then, several developments had come up in the city, including businesses like Petal Meat Market and Grocery in 1926 and Petal Drug Store in 1928.
