One of my favorite ministry projects of Addison’s Light is Birthday Boxes. Addison loved to celebrate her birthday and really anyone else’s. Addison’s Light has given 12 Birthday Boxes to the Petal Children’s Task Force just about every month since June 2024. I don’t get to see the fruit of this ministry but I have been told that the recipients always smile when given one. This and being able to share Jesus with the recipients is the why for doing Birthday Boxes.

Sonshine Girls held their September meeting on Sunday afternoon. Madilyn Holeman shared the devotion with the group. Madilyn spoke about waiting on God’s time and not worrying about how long it may take to see His plan for your life. The girls decorated Bibles and highlighted verses about encouragement, salvation, and others so they could give this Bible to someone that may need some guidance.

The Sonshine Girls had their first meeting of the new school year this past Sunday. The girls were challenged to be a light for Jesus wherever they go but especially in school. They did one of their favorite activities and painted encouraging words on rocks to leave around school and town.
