It's SHOW AND TELL time! Join us Monday, June 15th at 6pm for a fun and creative evening at the Petal Civic Center. We will share exciting information about upcoming events, mural opportunities, and more. All are welcome to attend and bring something to show the group. Art, music, theatre, dance; you bring it, we want to see it! As always, there will be great snacks, too. See you there.

We have a great meeting planned for next Monday, May 18th at 6pm in the Magnolia Room at the Petal Civic Center. We will have special guests that will tell us all about the exciting events and activities happening during this year's upcoming Festival South Arts festival. Member Becky Fortenberry will also share opportunities available through OLLI - Osher Lifelong Learning Institute for the summer session at USM and Gulfport locations.

On TUESDAY, April 21st, the Petal Arts Council and the Cosmopolitan Club are honored to be providing cookies and punch at the reception for all the young artists and their families from 5pm to 7pm. There is so much creativity to see at this year's art show. Make a point to come and support the Arts in Petal. The show is open through the 23rd.

We had such a fun time tonight at our PAC April Gathering. A special thank you to Petal High School Art teacher Kimberly Evans and her awesome students. We are so excited to have them as our newest Petal Arts Council members! Linda Bullock shared information she gathered about painting utility boxes around town, Sandra Baker talked about our upcoming children's theater and art camp and Kimberly Evans and her students gave us a tour of the Petal School District Art Show that is set up this week in the Petal Civic Center.
Tomorrow night from 5pm to 7pm the Petal Arts Council and the Cosmopolitan Club will be hosting a cookie and punch reception for families and young artists as they view the art in the show.
Be sure to stop by the Civic Center this week to see all the amazing student art.

Make plans for Saturday to visit Beyond Blessed Gifts, A Savvy Sister Company at 112 E Front St Suite 105, Hattiesburg, MS owned by Petal Arts Council members Kimberly and Heather Millstead. Saturday, they will be hosting local Petal artist and PAC member, Stephanie Birdwell for a pop up shop featuring her art. Find that special gift for your Valentine.

Great to see 18 Acres being recognized for the impact they are making in the community. We enjoyed partnering with them for our Festival of Trees in Hinton Park. Their fresh trees are making it extra special this year.

For many Perry County families, choosing a Christmas tree has become more than a holiday errand. It’s a reason to gather, bring children outdoors and reconnect with a rural way of life that has grown harder to access in recent years.

At 18 Acres Farm outside Richton, second-year owners Hope and Calvin Cooley said the steadier conditions have helped trees grow and allowed more families to return this year. The farm has already exceeded projected sales, driven largely by repeat visitors and school groups from Perry County.
