Riverside Travel Basketball

The kids want to play so we need some help! We have lots of 3rd and 4th grade boys registered for tryouts but we still need 1 head coach for each of those grades. Also, we need more 4th/5th grade girls, and a coach, or else we won’t be able to make a team for the younger girls. Email or message with any questions!

The 2026/2027 registration for Riverside Travel Basketball tryouts and open gym is now open!!!!!! Dates will be released soon but please be sure to register in the meantime!

Riverside Travel Basketball is assembling community teams for boys in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade, and girls in 4th, 5th and 6th grade. This is a competitive-style basketball and players must tryout for a team. Our goal to to field two teams across every grade level but tryout numbers and gym availability may not allow this to happen. We primarily practice at Riverview Elementary and Parkside Elementary. Tournaments and league games are local, typically less than an hour away.

The season consists of a Saturday/Sunday league, with a 10 game minimum, and 3-5 tournaments. The player fee generally ranges from $300-$400. This fee covers uniforms, shooting shirts, and league/tournament fees. The fee varies based on the number of tournaments the team joins.

Tryouts, open gyms, and practices are CLOSED to parents. This is an insurance requirement. ALL PLAYERS MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR TRYOUTS AND OPEN GYM.

If you are interested in your son or daughter trying out, please fill out the Google Form below. More information will be shared soon!

Please complete this form prior to attending open gyms or tryouts. If you have any questions please post a message on the page, or end us an email to [email protected]

🏀 6-Week Elite Development Academy 🏀

Join me every Tuesday at SPIRE Academy for a high-level player development program focused on skill development, basketball IQ, decision-making, shooting, finishing, and game concepts. This isn’t just about drills—it’s about learning how to play the game the right way.

Before joining SPIRE Academy as Associate Head Coach, I spent a decade at Montverde Academy, helping develop and coach elite players including Cooper Flagg, RJ Barrett, Derik Queen, Ryan Nembhard, and many other future NBA and Division I athletes.

Now at SPIRE Academy, our staff helped build the program into the No. 1 ranked high school team in the country for more than half of the national season in our very first year together.

Whether you’re looking to make your school team, stay sharp for the upcoming season, or simply become a smarter, more skilled player, this academy is designed to help you get there.
