Not too many pics of this weekend, but our 2nd year of GLOW Derby was amazing!! Still figuring out how to make our next one better!!

We would like to give a gigantic, huge, enormous, large, grand, THANK YOU to the leaders of Cub Scout Pack 55 in Madison for offering your chartered organization as a space to hold our Derby in last minute! Without your generosity, we wouldn't have had a Derby this weekend!!

We would like to also give a gigantic thank you to our own leadership team for being able to change plans so quickly. Without the quick thinking, phone calls, and social media posts that were made, we wouldn't have had a Derby this weekend! It was crazy for a little bit, but it all worked out in the end!

Thank you to our scouts for the awesome cars, parents, and leaders for an amazing afternoon and great food!

Also thank you to Scouts from Scouts BSA Troop 86G Painesville and BSA Troop 68 Painesville for volunteering to work the derby as well!!

Congratulations to all of our winners!!

**Update... we found a place!! Thank you all!!! **

HELP! Due to unforseen circumstances, we need to move our Pinewood Derby that is this Saturday, March 21st. Our scheduled start time is 11:00am. We will need to get in at 9:00am to set up. We are planning a GLOW derby. If you have a space that can fit about 80 people, a 30 foot wood Derby track, a space for food as this event is a potluck, plus tables for car garage, please let me know ASAP!! Thank you!!

On Saturday evening, we celebrated our scout's accomplishments and celebrated Jack crossing over to "the big scouts."

So many awards were given from Lion all the way to AOL! Rank was also earned by a couple of our dens as well! Congratulations scouts! So proud of you all for your hard work!

We said "see you later" to Jack as he crossed over to Troop 68 to continue his journey to Eagle.

Thank you to our leadership team for all of the planning and hard work. This event is one of the bigger ones and you knocked it out of the park as always!

Thank you to our parents and scout families who bring your children every week. Without you, we wouldn't get to do the things we do! Oh, and the food was amazing!

Thank you to Troop 68 for being there to recieve Jack, and for supporting his journey! We can't wait to see him to Eagle!

Thank you to all of our scouts, families, and leaders who attended Scout Sunday with us this morning!

First Church Congregational has been our home for forever, and we can't thank them enough for their unwavering support, for giving our scouts a place to meet every week. Without this church and it's amazing Pastor and congregation, we would NOT be able to provide the program we do.

Last week our Lions got to play hopscotch and race ping pong balls, and our Bears (and new scouts who are Bears and up) started work to earn their pocket knives!

Lock in at the church last night!!

We tye dyed some shirts, played hide and seek, launched paper airplanes from the balcony, crowned a new Mario Kart Tournament Champion, ate some yummy snacks, barely slept, and had an absolute blast!

Last night's pack meeting was our Christmas party!! The kids recieved their awards, then we had cookies, swapped boxes of candy, and had an awesome visit with Santa!!

All of the kids and parents were comfy in Christmas PJs and ugly sweaters

Miss Amber crocheted each scout a snowman with scarf that represents color of the neckerchief of the den they are in! Miss Amber, you ROCK!!

It was chilly this morning, but that didn't stop us from holding our 3rd Annual Veteran's Day Flag Retirement Ceremony!

We retired an incredible 206 flags this morning!!

Thank you to our leadership team and scouts for the beautiful ceremony, and to our scouts and parents for being present to be sure our veterans got the recognition they deserved.

More importantly, thank you to the veterans who joined us today to retire flags with our scouts, and for all veterans who took the oath to protect our country.

Thank you to our own veteran, Cubmaster Morrell Carson for your service in the Army.

Thank you to previous cubmaster and one of the current assistant scoutmasters to the boys, Andrew Webster for your service in the Marines.

We are truly thankful and grateful for your service to this country.

The "68 Curse" held strong again this morning, fortunately it was a light rain 🤣
