We have an exciting week of camps next week planned if you have been thinking of volunteering… now is the time!!

We will be hosting the Friendship House from Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by the Dream Center on Friday with the same schedule.

Activities Will Include:
Fishing
Kayaking
Water play
ATV rides or hikes

Our Peoria Friendship House summer campers wrapped up an exciting week of 1940s Camp Courage with a special visit to the Illinois Air National Guard base!

Throughout the week, campers learned about the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience that defined the 1940s era. Their adventure concluded with a firsthand look at the men and women who continue to serve our country today. Students explored military aircraft, learned about aviation careers, and gained a deeper appreciation for the dedication and teamwork required to protect our nation.

A huge thank you to the Air National Guard personnel for providing such an educational and inspiring experience for our campers. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect history with real-world learning and to encourage the next generation of leaders to serve with courage and character.

Camp Courage took flight today at Peoria Friendship House! 🪂🇺🇸

As part of our 1940s-themed Camp Courage week, campers learned about the important role parachutes played during World War II and then put their creativity and engineering skills to work by designing and building their own parachutes.

🇺🇸✨ 1940s Camp Courage at Peoria Friendship House Summer Camp! ✨🇺🇸

Our campers stepped back in time to the 1940s and got creative making patriotic windsocks today! Using red, white, and blue colors, students learned about the importance of patriotism and community spirit during the decade while creating fun decorations to display with pride.

Our Peoria Friendship House Kinderoos had a wonderful time helping in the garden today! With eager hands and bright smiles, they planted beautiful new flowers to accent our harvest garden and add even more color to our growing space.
