The Climate Smart Floridians program was developed by the University of Florida Sea Grant Climate Work Action Team to increase climate literacy and reduce local greenhouse gas emissions at the household level. This program uses the 3 pillars of sustainability – economic, social, and environmental. Many people today are seeking ways to reduce their everyday living expenses. The Climate Smart Floridians program presents options from which participants may choose depending on what makes sense for their household and situation.

Dear climate friends:

We are trying something new at 350 Pensacola. We know a lot of you out there would love to get together for more fellowship and comradery, so in addition to providing our more formal educational talks, we would like to host some informal small group conversations about climate change that we want our friends and members to participate in. We want to provide a safe space to discuss feelings, hopes, concerns and even some brainstorming about possible future actions, etc. Or maybe you just want to meet some like-minded folks to commune with.

So, please join us for an open sharing/gathering at The Pensacola Liberation Center, at 2737 N E Street, Pensacola, 32501 on Friday, September 26th at 6:00pm. Snacks will be provided. Please let us know if you have any questions.

The Trump administration said on Tuesday it will rescind the long-standing finding that greenhouse gas emissions endanger human health, removing the legal foundation for all U.S. greenhouse gas regulations.

Over the weekend Sandra Adams and Christian Wagley joined the wonderful neighbors along Innerarity Pt. Road for a discussion about the upcoming hurricane season and our changing climate. It’s great for us all to be better prepared for hurricane season, and to talk about how a warming planet is making things worse through rising seas and more of the most extreme hurricanes.
