Monument to Women Veterans

Monument to Women Veterans Established in 2011, Monument to Women Veterans is a 501c3 nonprofit organization leading the charge military. The Monument to Women Veterans, Inc.

In 2020 the City of Pensacola agreed to a 50-year lease of the existing run-down Amtrak train station on Heinberg street for the Monument to Women Veterans to establish a Museum to Women Veterans. The Monument to Women Veterans will restore and remodel the existing facility and maintain the building and grounds throughout the lease term. In addition to the museum, World-renowned sculptor Elizabeth

MacQueen has been selected to create this magnificent masterpiece that will reach over 30 ft into the air with flames and a laser beam over a stainless-steel elliptical band of flowing water. The monument will be surrounded by women figures from each branch of service in uniforms depicting their roles in various capacities as they have risen to the challenge, despite many adversities, to serve their country. We have been involved in several projects, including:

The Empowerment Center
This program aims to help women veterans suffering from PTSD, TBI, and Military Sexual Trauma to achieve self-sufficiency, pay their rent and utilities, and provide the normal, necessary items for a healthy lifestyle for their family with adequate food, clothing, and shelter. Home for the Holidays
In partnership with POE In Action, Monument to Women Veterans established a housing initiative for homeless veterans. By working with many different agencies and volunteers, the project evolved into the most successful method for reducing veteran homelessness. The Invisible War

CONGRATULATIONS! Lt. Gabrielle White is the first female Army Ranger to ever compete in the Best Ranger Competition! The Best Ranger Competition is a grueling, elite-level, three-day test of physical and mental endurance. Out of 52 all-male teams, White and her teammate Capt. Seth Deltenre were one of just 16 to complete the challenge.

White is 25 years old, a Black infantry officer, and West Point graduate—earned her tab in 2022. Just three years later, she stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the toughest in the Army and proved what skill, grit, and determination look like. There wasn’t much public recognition so we are giving her flowers today! 👏

Only ten women have earned four-star general or admiral status in the history of the armed forces in the United States. It’s a source of immense pride for the women who’ve made it this far in a field that wasn’t always inclusive of them.

The Military Women’s Memorial in Arlington honored those ten women at a gala in October. Read more about it below.
