🦃FOODIE FRIDAY - HELP US FEED HUNGRY FAMILIES THIS THANKSGIVING! 🦃

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, so we are happy to announce the return of our Thanksgiving Meal Distribution!

This program provides our Pantry participants and local individuals and families in need with Thanksgiving meal bags, which are tailored to household sizes and include ingredients for side items, as well as a turkey or a gift card for a turkey or ham (while supplies last).

Starting now, we are collecting the following items for our meal bags:

🦃Turkeys
🌽🫛Canned Corn and Green Beans
🍠Canned Sweet Potatoes
🥔Instant Mashed Potatoes
🍞Stuffing
🍗Gravy
🥫Cranberry Sauce
🍎Canned Fruit/Applesauce
💳$20 Gift Cards for a Turkey or Ham (Redner’s or Weis preferred)
🎁Grocery Rewards Coupons for Turkeys/Other Entrees

Donations can be dropped off at our Penn Street location, 452 Penn Street, Pennsburg, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, with additional hours on Tuesdays until 7:00 PM.

🍽️FIRST MONDAY MEAL PROGRAM IS TOMORROW!🍽️

Tomorrow, November 2, is the November First Monday Meal!

The First Monday Meal was started in 2015 by a collection of area churches and organizations sensing a need in the community for food, socialization, and safe spiritual atmosphere.

Diners have two options for meals, both starting at 6:00 PM:

CORRECTION: New Goshenhoppen UCC will be hosting, preparing, and serving a sit-down meal at Pennsburg UCC, 775 Main Street, Pennsburg. The menu is spaghetti and meatballs, a side salad, garlic bread, and a sweet treat.

The Upper Montgomery Joint Authority will be preparing and serving a drive-thru meal (until 7:00 PM) at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville. The menu is chili, a slice of cornbread, and a piece of spice cake.

The Code Blue 2026-2027 season begins today, Sunday, November 1! Starting now, the Upper Perk Code Blue Shelter has officially returned for its 3rd season.

Cooking oils help with meal preparation, enhance flavor, prevent food from sticking, and depending on the oil, provide essential nutrients and fat.

You can bring donations to our Pantry entrance at our Penn Street location, 452 Penn Street, Pennsburg, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM and Tuesday 8:00 AM-7:00 PM.

👻🧓🎃🎉NOT SO SPOOKY WEEK - AGING ISN'T SCARY AT THE CENTER!🎉🎃🧓👻

At The Center at The Open Link, more years means more fun! Today, our participants enjoyed our annual Halloween Party, complete with a haunted house, trick or treat bags, Halloween games like mummy wrapping, boo-tiful giveaways, spell-binding contests, and more.

Congratulations to Toni and her mummy pumpkin on winning our pumpkin decorating contest, Kate on winning best costume, and Barb on winning the candy guess-how-many!

Need inspiration? Finland Mennonite Church recently hosted a drive and donated 520 pounds of personal care and cleaning items to our Pantry! We are so grateful not only for their generosity, but for organizing drive promotion, decorating donation boxes, spreading the word or doing drive announcements at their church, and loading and unloading donations. We are so happy to see Valley teenagers caring for their community!

🎃🏆PUMPKIN DECORATING CONTEST: SUBMIT YOUR PUMPKIN BY TOMORROW!🏆🎃

There's still time to create and drop off your pumpkin at The Center for its Pumpkin Decorating Contest!

Drop off your decorated pumpkin by TOMORROW, October 27, at 4:00 PM at The Center, 517 Jefferson Street, East Greenville, for your creation to be displayed at this year's Halloween Party!
