Looking for a simple activity to do outside? Try a 5 sense nature walk!
1. See 👀
Look carefully around you. What colors, shapes, animals, or plants do you notice?
2. Hear 👂
Stop and listen quietly. What sounds do you hear (birds, wind, insects, people)?
3. Smell 👃
Take a gentle breath in. What smells do you notice (flowers, grass, soil, fresh air)?
4. Touch ✋
Safely feel different things in nature. How do leaves, bark, rocks, or grass feel?
5. Taste 👅 (only if safe and allowed)
Sometimes you might taste fresh air or a safe edible plant like mint or berries if an adult says it’s okay.
Finish:
Sit quietly for a minute and think about your favorite thing you discovered on your walk.
