Drew's Beacon for Blindness

Drew's Beacon for Blindness We support the blind and fund research with the hope of bringing vision to Drew and others like him who possess LCA - CRX blindness Why a beacon?

At 3 months old, Andrew started showing signs of having problems with his eyes. It was originally believed to be a eye muscle problem; however, after several months of appointments, tests, and waiting it turned out to be a more severe problem. Drew had Leber's Congenital Amaurosis, a devastating retinal disease that leaves him legally blind. Andrew's vision will continually fade until he is comple

tely blind unless we find a treatment or cure. A beacon is not only a source of light, but is also someone or something that provides inspiration and hope. Andrew is the someone that provides the inspiration. He is a beautiful, happy little boy who deserves every opportunity to see and appreciate the world around him. The something that provides the hope is this organization and everyone that is a part of it. Whether it is spreading our mission, volunteering time, or donating money, it is all very much appreciated and will help us achieve our vision to bring sight to Drew and all those affected with LCA-CRX blindness.
