As the 10th anniversary of 2-year-old Kyra Franchetti’s death approaches, advocates are making a final push for Gov. Kathy Hochul to sign Kyra’s Law, legislation they say would strengthen child safety protections in custody and visitation cases.

Happy Heavenly 11th Birthday, our beautiful Ladybug. 🐞❤️

We can't believe you would be 11 years old today. It feels impossible that so much time has passed, yet the pain of not watching you grow up is just as real as it was on the day we lost you. We often find ourselves wondering what kind of incredible little person you would be today, and all of the milestones we never got to experience with you.

Today, we celebrate you. We celebrate every precious memory you left us with, every smile, every laugh, and the love that continues to fill our hearts. We take comfort in believing you're in Heaven, surrounded by the family who went before you and all of our beloved pets, celebrating with cupcakes, mac and cheese, and meatballs—your favorite foods.

Not a single day goes by that we don't love you, miss you, and speak your name. We promise we will never stop telling your story, and we will never stop fighting for the justice you deserve. Your life mattered, your voice matters, and your legacy continues to inspire us every single day.

To the mothers still fighting the long battle in family court to be part of their child’s life, to those experiencing alienation, and to the parents who would give anything just to celebrate today with their children — don’t give up.
