Thank you everyone for your generous donations to the Pelham Cares families!! We have:

- assisted 19 out of our 20 listed families;
- donated $2,100 in gift card value to these families (in addition to providing Christmas gifts, toys, clothes, blankets, etc); and
- thoughtfully assembled 10 self-care baskets for these families.

If you are still looking for ways to give this holiday season consider assisting Rachel https://lovepelham.com/rachel/. (All other families listed on the site have already received donations and Christmas gifts but could use any additional help!)

Happy Holidays everyone!

Thank you from our Pelham Cares Families! Thus far, we have provided much-needed groceries, winter clothes, bedding and over $900 in gift cards to allow families to purchase exactly what they need. To add a touch of warmth to the deliveries, Junior League members have added a specially made self-care basket for these struggling, mostly single mother homes. Visit https://lovepelham.com/pelhamcares/ to see how you can help.

Pelham Cares ❤️ our schools! Today, we give thanks to Prospect Hill and Colonial for their very generous contributions, which provided meals for a total of 266 frontline workers while supporting our beloved Pelham small businesses.

The Prospect donation was the result of the school's amazing teachers "paying forward" their Teacher Appreciation gifts, and Colonial's came from a student Read-a-Thon (with generous support from family and friends). 🙌

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS: Our neighbors need our help. Please let us know if you're able to assist in either of the following efforts in partnership with Family Services of Westchester:

*FSW's Mount Vernon clinic is urgently seeking 10 used laptops and/or tablets in good working condition to be donated to the clinic and loaned out to families who have no way for their children to access online distance learning (Mount Vernons' School district ran out of chromebooks) as well as for families who need critical tele-therapy. The increase in demand for these vital mental health services has skyrocketed since the pandemic hit our region – with FSW handling over 1,300 sessions per week – half of which are with children. If you are able to contribute, please email [email protected] or [email protected].

*FSW has also identified four Mount Vernon families in desperate need of groceries. We are looking for 4 bags of healthy non-perishable foods to be purchased and delivered to these families in the next week. Suggested items include: pasta, jarred sauce, rice, canned beans, apples, oranges, chips and crackers, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, and sliced bread. If you would like to provide a grocery delivery, please email [email protected].

Thanks in advance for your support!

While our contacts at area hospitals report that things are improving, for many recovering COVID patients, the challenges are just beginning. Today, Pelham Cares delivered 50+ bags of pantry and household essentials to be distributed to in-need patients as they are discharged. ❤️
