We had the opportunity to tour CSM Farms NWA and see firsthand the work, care, and commitment that goes into producing the food they bring to our Downtown Pea Ridge Farmers Market.

There's something special about meeting the people behind the products, walking the land where there're grown, and better understanding just how much work happens before fresh produce ever reaches a market table.

We're grateful for local producers like CSM Farms who continue to invest in agriculture, their community, and the families they serve.

Around Downtown | The Texas Memorial

Sometimes the most interesting parts of downtown are the ones we drive past every day.

Just steps from the Bell Tower stands the Texas Memorial, dedicated to the Texans who fought at the Battle of Pea Ridge on March 7–8, 1862. It serves as a reminder that our small community is connected to a story that reaches far beyond Northwest Arkansas. The memorial was dedicated by the State of Texas in 1964 as one of a series of nineteen honoring Texans who served in major Civil War battles.

Whether you’ve lived here your whole life or just moved to Pea Ridge, this is one of those places worth stopping to read.

Downtown Pea Ridge, along with many other community partners, was honored to be invited to the grand opening of the Boys & Girls Club of Benton County’s new Pea Ridge Teen Center.

It was a privilege for us to attend on behalf of Downtown and celebrate with our neighbors right here in the heart of our community.

The space is welcoming, intentional, and much needed! A place created specifically for teens to connect, grow, build relationships, and have a place to belong.

We are grateful to have the Boys & Girls Club as part of our downtown community and excited to see the impact this new Teen Center will have on Pea Ridge for years to come.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this space a reality!

Meet Hayley!

For Hayley, volunteering in Downtown Pea Ridge is personal.

Her family has deep generational roots in Pea Ridge and the surrounding area, and serving at Second Saturday has become her way of giving back to the community that has given so much to her family.

“It’s a way to honor my family’s legacy, serve our neighbors, and help keep Pea Ridge a place where families can come together and thrive.”

You’ll often find Hayley in the Game Zone, where what started as simply saying “yes” to serving has grown into something much bigger. Month after month, she’s watched families return, friendships form, and neighbors connect over games, meals, and conversations.

“One of my favorite parts is seeing the families who come each month. Many have become close friends. We play games, share a meal, and have conversations that remind me what community is all about. It all started because I said yes to serving. I feel blessed by the friendships I’ve made and the new ones that continue to grow. I love this city!”

That’s what volunteering downtown is about. It’s not just helping with an event, it’s creating the spaces where community happens.

We’re grateful Hayley said yes to Downtown Pea Ridge.
