Therefore, we provide an open, welcoming, supportive, and positive environment for all writers and support writers throughout their writing journey to achieve their individual goals. We were founded in 2015 in Bella Vista, AR, and established as the Village on the Lakes Writers & Poets, started by Joan Barrett Roberts and five local writers. Initially sponsored by the Artist Retreat Center and the Bella Vista Public Library, we found great community support for our work with local writers of all ages. We are committed to the growth of literacy, the appreciation of storytelling and the arts, and their intersection with the written word in telling a good story. We are pleased to announce that the Bella Vista Public Library will host our regular meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month starting in November 2021. Dug Hill Chapel is our new HOME!
