Bright Futures Pea Ridge works within the Pea Ridge School District to connect student needs with existing community resources. The Bright Futures model brings together businesses, human service agencies, faith-based organizations, and parent groups and partners them with schools in a way that helps them to quickly and efficiently meet students’ basic needs – often within 24 hours. Pea Ridge works to create an environment where education is valued and responsibility for student success is shared. Bright Futures operates under the belief that when a community invests its time, talent, and treasure into its schools, students are more likely to stay in school through graduation, have a higher degree of self-worth and confidence, and set and reach goals for the future. In turn, these students grow up to be better neighbors, quality employees, and impactful leaders in their communities.

🥶 WARMING SHELTER OPEN THIS WEEKEND 🥶

Due to the brutal cold temperatures expected this weekend, the storm shelter behind Pea Ridge Jr. High School will be open as a warming shelter for anyone who needs a safe, heated place to stay warm.

Location: 785 Pickens Rd.
Entrance: Please enter through the south door, which faces the Primary School.

Hours of Operation:
Friday: Opens 5:00 PM (doors locked at 10:00 PM)
Saturday: Opens 7:00 AM (doors locked at 10:00 PM)
Sunday: Opens 7:00 AM (doors locked at 10:00 PM)

Officers will monitor the shelter. For visitor safety, the doors will be locked at 10:00 PM. After-hours access is available by calling the Non-Emergency number of 479-451-8220.

What to Bring: The shelter has chairs and tables, but no bedding. Please bring blankets and pillows to make your family more comfortable.

🌨️ Weather Updates: We will continue monitoring the forecast and road conditions throughout the weekend. If the extreme cold weather continues, we will evaluate whether the warming shelter needs to remain open beyond Sunday, and we will provide an update.
